Autumn, the most wonderful time of the year….
Many things are in the works. The next Ghost House, on October 2nd, will feature UNCRSD, who plays regularly at the Lovecraft in Portland. He will be spinning a mix of goth, industrial and witchhouse with an emphasis on new music. John The Revelator and Refugium will be on hand.
Here’s the Halloweek lineup:
Wednesday October 30th: 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE PARTY kicks it off at Oak Street Speakeasy. John The Revelator, Jon Smith, and Refugium will be playing all Factory Records tracks [New Order + Joy Division + Happy Mondays + Durutti Column +++++] and generally invoking the spirit of Manchester here in Eugene.
Thursday October 31st: DARKHALLOW Masquerade Ball. DJs Refugium from Ghost House, Spidersound from Nemesis, and Parabal from Rivet House are combining forces to bring you an occult warehouse party. Location will be revealed to ticketholders and on the website the day before the party- but it is within Eugene city limits. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. A full bar including absinthe service will be available (cash preferred, Visa/MC accepted). Lights and projections will be tailored to the event, which promises to be a fantastic way to spend this evening. Costumes are required, and prizes will be awarded for the best of the best. Rumor has it that there will be an after party as well. 21 and over, ID is REQUIRED.
Shortly after that, on November 6th at Oak Street Speakeasy, Ghost House celebrates its 4th anniversary! We are so grateful that we have been able to keep a G/I night going in this fair city for four years, and each month brings new pleasures. We thank you from the bottom of our dark little hearts. Much love to all of you who have supported us through the years. What will the fourth year bring? It’s so exciting to find out!
August Ghivet? Rhost? House? Hmm, awkward mashup.
DJ Refugium will be out of town so Rivet and Ghost Houses will be joining forces! 9 PM August 7th.
(Refugium says: Don’t cry for me, Eugene. She’ll think of you while she’s soaking in a hotspring in the desert. Maybe.)
Depeche Mode Tribute Night is July 3rd!
Our guest will be Jon Smith and we will never let you down. Here is the house where it all happens. Please be Dressed In Black again, but let us see you stripped down to the bone. John The Revelator, he’s a smooth operator, he’ll be DJing too. DJ Refugium will be playing the Angel, and we look forward to playing Music for the Masses!
Play for Today: a Cure Tribute
Hey you! Yes you, oh-ho, you the one that looks like Christmas, come over here and….
Saturday March 30th starting at 9 PM Luckey’s will be invaded by Cure fans. DJ Refugium, John The Revelator and Ultrajet will be pulling all of the rare vinyl from their various collections to bring you Cure songs you haven’t heard in years, probably, with excellent sound quality. Cure-related, side projects and other music of the era will also be played. VJ PTSD will provide a video wall of nonstop Cure footage culled from the past 30 years of concerts and promo releases. Spiky hair and lipstick very much encouraged.
Luckey’s Club is located at 933 Olive Street in downtown Eugene. Cover is $2, 21+.
The Razor Skyline is visible from here….
Getting really excited to go see Razor Skyline and Soil & Eclipse in Portland! We tried to get them a show here but Eugene has a lack of venues available in the short time frame we had. Nonetheless, we have a giant box of goodies to give away at Ghost House this week- posters, stickers, a t-shirt, and several copies of their brand new CD, Dark Water Oasis, which is REALLY GOOD. Show starts at 9 PM this Wednesday! See you there!
4 days!
Next Ghost House is in 4 days! This coming Wednesday we’ll be joined by Owen of the Church of Hive from Portland, who blesses us with his superlative taste in music each time. John The Revelator will be there and DJ Zahra is back from SoCal! Come dance to the darkness!
January 4th 2012
Is the next Ghost House night. Refugium and the Revelator will be on hand. Jozhur steps in to fulfill your harsher needs. We’ve got a new webpage for the new year and look forward to dancing with you!
